Is Bookiva free for clients?
Yes. Finding salons, booking and managing your bookings is always free. You only pay the salon for your service.
Does Bookiva take a commission on bookings?
No. Salons pay a fixed monthly price and keep 100% of their bookings. When a client pays online, the money goes straight to the salon's bank account through Paystack; only Paystack's standard payment fees apply.
How can clients pay?
By bank card, Capitec Pay or instant EFT in the app, or in person at the salon. Salons can also let regular clients pay later on their account and send a monthly invoice.
Do I need a computer?
No. Bookiva works on your phone, and in any web browser on a computer or tablet. Your bookings are the same everywhere.
Can clients book a house call?
Yes, if the salon offers house calls. The salon sets its travel fee and the areas it covers, and the client adds their address when booking.
What happens after the free trial?
After 30 days, choose a plan and pay by card or EFT to keep taking bookings. Your salon, clients and bookings are kept.
Is my information safe?
Yes. Each salon only sees its own clients and bookings, and clients only see their own. We follow South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). See our Privacy Policy.
